Pearls are organic gemstones widely used in the jewelry industry. They form within mollusks when an irritant enters the oyster, which secretes nacre to cover it, thus creating the pearl. There are three types of pearls:  Quiste pearls, which are round or oval-shaped and entirely nacreous. Blister pearls are semi-spherical with nacre only on the upper part. Baroque pearls, which are irregularly shaped. Pearls are widely accepted by consumers and have a broad market.
